Clean Water Legacy Grant

The Thief River Watershed Buffer Initiative is a watershed based program that promotes that establishment of buffers, side-water inlets and field windbreaks.   The Marshall County SWCD was awarded $178,750 in Clean Water Legacy funds to provide one-time rental payments and cost-share funds to help with planning, establishment, and provide education to landowners about the benefits of these practices.  Priority areas within the watershed have been targeted to promote the program, but all land within the watershed is eligible.
